Laura is a Professional Counselor Associate serving individual adults and couples. She recently received her Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She has spent nearly 14 years abroad in China and Japan and recently moved back to Oregon from Shanghai, China where she was working in the security industry and pursuing her second master’s degree. She enjoys CrossFit, nutrition, reading, traveling, and spending time with her daughter.
Her approach to therapy is an eclectic approach combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. She has completed levels 1 & 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses this approach as well as attachment work in couples therapy. Laura aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for partners to express themselves and find workable solutions that they can learn and utilize as a team outside of therapy. Her goal is for clients to learn the skills necessary to manage challenges and build or rebuild the healthy relationship they want.
